Product Updates

Product Updates: September 2026

A month of updates across splose AI and payments: ready-made AI progress note templates, note-wide AI instructions, a redesigned payment-first invoice page, and a clearer recording dialog.
--
AI-ready progress note templates
A library of discipline-specific progress note templates is now available for AI subscribers, covering Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Speech Pathology, Psychology and Counselling.
Pick one when you start a new progress note, from the Calendar or from Settings. The templates are ready to use, which reduces the time it takes to set up and finalise a note with AI.
--
Set note-wide AI instructions with the Master Prompt
You can now create one set of AI instructions that governs the output across an entire note, instead of repeating the same instructions in every AI Block.
Write it once in the AI Instructions, and it applies across the note, which keeps your output consistent and saves time. AI templates come with discipline-specific instructions pre-filled, and you can edit or remove them to suit. Live for all AU and UK splose AI customers.
--
A payment-first invoice page
The page your clients land on from an emailed invoice link has been rebuilt to focus on paying rather than viewing a PDF. The payment field now sits directly on the page, and Apple Pay and Google Pay appear automatically on supported mobile devices.
The amount due appears at the top, partial payments are reflected, and draft or non-payable invoices now show clear messaging. For practices without online payments connected, bank transfer details show directly on the page. Available for all customers across AU and UK.
--
A clearer AI recording dialog
The dialog where you start recording a session with AI has a new design. It states what it's for, names the recording modes plainly, and takes fewer steps to get going. Available to all splose AI customers in AU and UK.

Product Updates

Product Updates: 16-31 August 2026

A strong fortnight for splose AI and everyday setup. AI now writes more accurate, more thorough clinical notes, you can save AI Block prompt improvements straight back to your template, the Services page makes the Appointment vs Support Activity choice much clearer, and UK practices can now search clients by ID.
--
splose AI writes better clinical notes
splose AI's text generation has received an upgrade, with improvements to Ask AI, AI Blocks, emails and letters. Generated notes now come back more accurate and more thorough.
There's nothing to switch on, and nothing changes in how you use AI. Voice-to-text is untouched and runs as normal. The difference is in the quality of what comes back.
--
Save AI Block improvements back to your template
When you improve an AI Block's prompt while writing a note, you can now save that change straight back to the source template without leaving the note. No more re-editing the template by hand afterwards.
There are three ways to do it: an "Update block in note template" action in the block's Actions menu, an "Update prompt" checkbox when you thumbs up a block you've edited, and an "Update all blocks with changes" checkbox when you finalise the note. Available to anyone who can edit progress note templates in AU and UK.
--
A clearer services page: Appointment vs Support Activity
Setting up a service just got clearer. Appointment and Support Activity now sit side by side as cards with equal weight, each with plain-language descriptions and examples always visible, so it's obvious which one you need.
If you name a service like non-contact work, for example "report", "note" or "admin", while Appointment is selected, splose will nudge you to switch. You can also change an existing service's type after the fact from the row menu, and a new "Create and add another" option makes bulk setup quicker.
--
UK: Search clients by ID
Practices in the UK can now reference clients by a unique ID instead of their name. Enter a client ID in the same search field you already use for name, phone and email, and it pulls up the right record straight away.
Client ID now also appears as a column on the client list and on the client profile, and there's a client ID placeholder for email, letter and progress note templates. This helps practices working with the NHS, schools, or other third parties correspond about a client without identifying them by name.

Product Updates

Product Updates: 1-15 August 2026

A big release period for payments and bookings. Australian practices can now collect payments by Direct Debit, patients can book on behalf of someone else, cancellation notice periods can be set in business days, and email images now display reliably for the people receiving them.
--
Direct Debit payments for Australian practices
Australian practices can now collect payments by Direct Debit. Capture a client's bank account details through a form or store them on the client profile, then charge the details on file whenever you invoice.
--
Book for yourself or someone else in online bookings
The booking form now asks who the appointment is for. This can be useful for parents or guardians who book appointments for their children or dependents.
Clients have the option to choose "Myself" or "Someone else". If they're booking for someone else, the form splits into two: the booker's own details and the attendee's details, and it captures the relationship (parent, guardian, carer or other). Confirmations go to the booker, and the attendee's card doesn't collect a duplicate email or phone, so your records stay accurate from the start.
--
Set cancellation notice periods in business days
Cancellation notice periods could only be counted in calendar days, so a weekend would quietly eat into the notice window. You can now choose business days instead.
With business days selected, Saturdays and Sundays no longer count toward the notice period, so a Monday or Tuesday appointment reflects the correct number of clear business days. This makes it much easier for NDIS-registered practices to apply cancellation fees in line with the required two clear business days' notice.
--
Email images now display reliably for recipients
Images in sent emails are served so the recipient's mail client can display them without being signed in to splose. The fix covers manual emails, automated emails, templates and signatures, and it now works in the iPhone Mail app where a large share of clients read their email.
--
Point old booking links to the right page
Practices with multiple booking pages can now set a default updated Online Bookings page, and legacy Online Bookings links will automatically redirect to it. You'll find "Set as default" in the "..." actions menu on each booking page.
Only one page can be the default at a time, and removing it simply stops the redirect. It's a handy way to make sure existing links, bookmarks and website references keep landing patients on the right page, with the legacy Online Bookings system being sunset in the near future.

Batch Invoicing

Product Updates

Product Updates: 16-31 July 2026

A busy fortnight across invoicing, AI and online bookings. You can now apply a template across a whole invoice batch, splose AI takes the full note into account when generating, your practice logo is back on the booking page, and improved tracking options for practices running ads.
--
Apply a template across a whole invoice batch
You can now pick an invoice template for an entire batch, not just the workspace default. Switch the whole batch to a different template, or override individual invoices, and the previews update as you go.
It's a big time saver for practices with complex billing arrangements or busy end-of-month and end-of-year runs, since the right template is applied from the start instead of edited invoice by invoice.
--
splose AI now considers your whole note
When you generate with AI, it now takes the entire note into account, including your other AI blocks, rather than looking at each block in isolation. The result is more consistent, more relevant output across the note.
This is available when using the "Generate All" button, and is being extended to the individual block Generate buttons in the near future.
--
Your practice logo in online bookings
Your logo now displays at the top of the standalone booking page and in the builder preview, so patients get that visual confirmation they're booking with the right practice.
Upload your logo under Workspace, then Details, then switch on the "Display business image" toggle in the Online Bookings page builder. This one applies to standalone booking pages, since embedded pages already carry your website's branding.
--
Better ad conversion tracking for online bookings
Practices running Google Ads or Meta campaigns can now track bookings for the updated Online Bookings page reliably, without developer help or workarounds. A booking confirmation event now fires on the page when a booking is completed, well-known element IDs are back in line with the legacy Online Bookings page, and Google Tag Manager loads earlier in the flow.
If you had tracking set up on the legacy Online Bookings page, you'll need to update your trigger configuration to match.
--
Track submissions from embedded forms
Embedded forms can now be tracked by your own website analytics. On successful submission, the embedded form sends a signal to your website identifying which form was completed, so your tracking tool can fire the right conversion tag. It works on any domain with no per-site setup.
To pick this up, re-copy your form's embed code, replace the old code on your website, and update your tracking to listen for the new event.
Self-service cancel/reschedule now available to all, a new set-up experience for trial customers and a new comprehensive AI welcome guide to help new AI users start using splose AI seamlessly.
--
Self-service cancel/reschedule of appointments
Self-service cancellations and rescheduling is now available to all splose customers, saving practices a significant amount of time managing appointment changes.
Clients can now cancel their upcoming appointments (both invoiced and uninvoiced) directly from their confirmation or reminder and reschedule their upcoming appointments (including invoiced appointments with online bookings 2.0).
Practices with prepaid online bookings will see an in-app modal and banner explaining the invoice status change when they first visit the calendar. Practices can fully control the boundaries of self-service by setting minimum notice periods and cancellation reasons.
--
Onboarding checklist & sample data live for trial customers (AU & NZ)
A new in-app trial setup checklist walks new practitioners in AU and NZ through 4 key steps to make the most of their 14-day trial: set up services, add a location and link services, set availability, and book a test appointment. Each trial account now also contains sample data to better demonstrate how splose works.
--
AI welcome guide for new AI users
A new guide is live covering everything your practice needs to get set up and start using splose AI seamlessly. Including a ready to use patient consent form for AI, a 'we use AI to record at this practice' snippet to drop into your splose intake forms, a collection of discipline-specific splose AI prompts, links to the splose AI Masterclass Video, our step-by-step help videos and articles, and a security/privacy one-pager to help answer internal questions.

Services

Product Updates

Product Updates: 16-30 June 2026

AU practices billing NDIS can now apply cancellation codes automatically, you can collect client payment methods straight through your forms, choose whether cards are saved automatically, and your clients get a faster, cleaner online booking experience on every device.
--
Automatic NDIS cancellation item codes
From 1 July 2026, the NDIS Pricing Schedule requires a _CA suffix on service item codes when you bill for a cancelled appointment. Rather than editing every invoice by hand, you can now set this up once and let splose handle it.
There's a new optional Cancellation item code field in your service settings. Once you add the code to a service, splose automatically applies it to the invoice whenever an appointment using that service is cancelled. You'll find it under Workspace Settings, then Business, then Services. This one is for AU workspaces only, and if you leave the field blank, nothing changes.
--
Collect payment methods through your forms
You can now add a payment method step to any splose form. Clients save their card or direct debit details as part of filling out the form, with no payment taken at that point; just the details stored and ready for when you need them.
It's a great fit for onboarding new clients or collecting details from existing ones ahead of invoicing. Head to Settings, then Forms to set it up.
--
Choose whether payment methods save automatically
After we launched auto-store earlier this year, plenty of you asked for more control over it. You can now opt out of automatically saving client payment methods.
If you still want to collect cards without saving them automatically, you can use client forms and process payment at the time of the appointment or invoice instead.
--
A faster, cleaner online booking flow
Online Bookings [Updated] has had a round of polish to make booking quicker and easier, especially on mobile where most bookings happen.
Your selections now display as simple chips you can tap to jump back and change a step, the summary stays collapsed on mobile to keep the focus on finishing the booking, and practitioner bios are truncated with a "Show more" toggle. Practitioner cards have a cleaner layout with date navigation moved above the calendar, and the service type tabs are hidden when there's only one option.
--
Service types open automatically when there's only one
A small but handy tweak to the online booking flow. When a booking page has just one service type set up, the dropdown now opens by default so clients see the available services straight away. If you have multiple service types, nothing changes, and they stay collapsed as before.
One less tap for your clients, and a slightly faster path to a booking.

Product Updates

Product Updates: 1 - 15 June 2026

June kicks off with some welcome improvements to AI onboarding, batch invoicing, SMS credits for trial users, and a faster login experience.
--
Batch Invoicing: Invoice Template Selection
Practices can now choose which invoice template to apply when creating a batch invoice. Previously, all batch invoices used the workspace default template regardless of the client. A template selector is now available in the batch invoice flow, with a preview before confirming.
--
AI: Improved Onboarding for New AI Practitioners
Practitioners added to an AI subscription now receive an in-product welcome experience. A modal notifies them that AI has been enabled on their account, followed by a dismissible dashboard banner prompting them to get started. When they open a progress note for the first time as an AI-enabled user, splose points them to the microphone to help them get started with transcription.
--
SMS Credits for Trial Workspaces
Trial workspaces now receive 25 SMS credits out of the box, with no purchase required. When credits run out, users can purchase more.
--
SMS Low Credit Balance Indicator
A new balance pill is now visible in the platform for practices with active SMS templates and no auto-recharge. The pill changes colour as credits drop: amber under 100, red under 20, and red when credits run out.
--
2FA: Faster Code Entry
The two-factor authentication login experience is now faster. The code submits automatically on entry of the 6th digit, with inline error messages and automatic field reset if the code is incorrect or expired.

Product Updates

Product Updates: 16 - 31 May 2026

This fortnight brings password-protected document sending to all customers, a significant unlock for trial users with communications now available, two updates to online bookings, a new AI progress note shortcut, and more.
--
Password-Protected Documents and Batch Send
Practices can now automatically password-protect clinical documents sent by email, and send up to 10 documents together in a single email. Letters, progress notes, and invoices are supported. Documents are protected using the client's date of birth in YYYYMMDD format, and batch sends are bundled into a single password-protected zip file.
--
splose AI: Write Progress Note from Transcript
Practitioners can now generate a first draft of their progress note directly from a completed transcript with a single click. The draft is based on the recorded session, the client's last 3 progress notes, and any content already written in the current note. If a template structure is already in place, the draft will match it; otherwise, it defaults to a SOAP structure.
--
Online Bookings: Sort Practitioners by Next Available
Clients booking online can now sort practitioners by next availability. A 'Next available' badge is shown on practitioners with the earliest availability, and a sort order dropdown lets clients choose between default, next available, A-Z, or Z-A.
--
Online Bookings — Default to 'Pay by Card'
Clients booking online will now see 'Pay with card' selected by default. Clients can still choose to pay in person if preferred; both options remain visible and selectable.
--
Communications available in trial
Trial workspaces can now send communications. Up to 100 emails per organisation and 25 emails per user can be sent per day. Email and SMS templates are read-only during trial, with a clear prompt to upgrade to edit or create them.
--
QuickBooks Online: Now available for UK practices
UK practices can now connect their QuickBooks account to splose to sync invoices and payments, the same integration already available to AU and NZ customers.
--
SMS low credit balance reminder - now automatic
The low SMS credit reminder email is now automatic. Any practice with an active SMS template, no auto-recharge enabled, and a balance that drops below 100 credits will receive a reminder email. Practices with auto-recharge enabled won't receive it.

Product Updates

Product Updates: 1 - 15 May 2026

This fortnight brings a new Healthcode integration for UK practices, contact-level billing statements, and a handful of improvements to Stripe Terminal, online bookings, and more.
--
Healthcode general release (UK)
Users in the UK can now submit claims to private health insurers via our newly released Healthcode integration.
--
Contact Statements
Practices can now generate and send billing statements at the contact level directly in splose. Useful when a single contact — such as a plan manager or employer — manages billing across multiple clients or appointments.
--
Stripe Terminal - Continuous Improvement
Processing terminal payments is now simpler. Previously, practices needed to create a client in Stripe before processing a terminal payment. Now all they need to do is open an invoice, select Pay → Terminal, and ask the client to tap their card. Payment, invoice, and client information are then automatically synced in splose and across Xero/QBO.
--
Online Bookings - Streamlined booking flow
Bookings have been streamlined for customers. When selecting their appointment preferences, the page will continue to the next step without the customer needing to scroll and select Continue.
--
Performance, Security, and Bug Fixes
PDF security update - Affecting users on older versions of Chrome
We've made security updates to our PDF viewer. Users may experience issues when viewing PDFs on older versions of Chrome (version 117 or older). Other browsers are not affected. We recommend updating Chrome to the latest version to receive the latest security patches.

Product Updates

Product Updates: 16 - 30 April 2026

In this update, we've focused on security, performance, multiple files in forms, and better visibility for product updates.
--
Mandatory 2FA
The phased rollout of Mandatory 2FA is complete and has been rolled out to all workspaces. This ensures that your client's data is protected by an additional layer of security. If you're having issues accessing 2FA or logging into your workspace after setting this up, get in contact with our support team via chat.
--
Multiple file uploads on forms
You can now upload multiple files at once on both embeddable and standard forms, so you don't have to chase clients for additional documents separately.
  • Upload up to 10 files at a time (combined file size limit of 20MB)
  • Upload PNG, JPG, JPEG, PDF, and DOCX file times
  • Remove files before submission
  • Automatically save these files directly to the client's record when submitted
Please note that you will need to select the
